‘Epicentre’ provided us with the perfect opportunity to share some of the innovative concepts and ideas we were exploring.

Our concept looked beyond the traditional, individual out-of-town logistics unit and created a self-sustaining and self-supporting community with a range of uses. Logistics is at the heart of the community – along with data it is the connection to a global community. We took the idea further to it being a logistics town, and provided beyond the specified 500,000 sqft to identify the possibilities for a multiple-tenanted larger community.

The concept includes flexible logistics units, transport connections, healthcare, sports and fitness, modern homes, education, green infrastructure, allotments, food growth and power generation: everything required to create a sustainable and successful community. It is a model that could be replicated to form a network across the land, decentralising the UK.

Epicentre is a proposed solution to the future issues the logistics industry faces. It is a force for good, improving its environment.
