At the heart of the proposals a 23-storey tower of residential units, over new restaurants, bars, and other community uses, made the most of magnificent views around the bay and beyond the barrage to the sea.

The scheme included enhancements to the existing Britannia Park, as well as improvements to the bay-side promenade with further retail/restaurant pavilions. It provided safeguards for the 19th-century Norwegian Church, and plans for the sensitive relocation of the listed Locky’s Cottage landmark.

As lead designers, we co-ordinated the planning application, together with full EIA and heritage assessments. A series of design and viability workshops were held with key stakeholders, to ensure the quality and practicality of the proposals ahead of the planning process.
