Awards: Our Teams, Projects and Research Initiatives Continue to be Recognised

We are proud that the contributions of our teams, projects, and research initiatives continue to be recognised across the industry through a wide range of prestigious awards.
Chetwoods’ leadership in digital construction has been acknowledged with two shortlistings that highlight our commitment to embedding cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches across our work. Our award-winning Baytree Nuneaton project has been shortlisted for the Digital Construction Awards – Delivering Sustainability with Digital Innovation. This project demonstrates how digital innovation can drive sustainability in construction, proving that data-led decision making, material efficiency, and smart technologies can significantly reduce carbon emissions while maintaining operational excellence. It sets a benchmark for how digital tools can help the industry transition towards a net-zero future.

Our Works team has also been shortlisted for the Construction News Awards – Digital Construction Excellence, recognising its collaborative work with leading universities, clients, and industry stakeholders to develop and implement transformative digital tools. These tools enable data-driven decision making, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency across the construction process.

We are especially pleased that Project RESTOR has been shortlisted in two categories of the Digital Construction Awards: Design Innovation and Delivering Sustainability with Digital Innovation. As an industrial advisor to this pioneering three-year collaboration between the Universities of Cambridge and Birmingham, Chetwoods is helping to revolutionise sustainable steel reuse. The project introduces an innovative approach that combines advanced digital technologies with a generative design tool, enabling construction teams to quickly develop automated, structurally-sound building configurations using repurposed steel.

Our recently published report Enabling Structural Timber in UK Logistics, developed in partnership with Evolve Consulting Engineers, is shortlisted for the Unlock Net Zero Awards – Net Zero Collaboration of the Year Innovation. This landmark study charts a clear path for reducing embodied carbon in the logistics sector, offering practical solutions to meet ambitious sustainability targets.

Finally, we are delighted that our Executive Director ESG, Philippa Birch-Wood, has been shortlisted for AJ100 Awards Sustainability Leader of the Year and the Unlock Net Zero Awards Climate Champions Power List. Through her leadership of our Thrive team, Philippa continues to drive systemic change across the built environment, delivering innovative initiatives with measurable impact and advancing sustainability across the industry.

We wish our teams every success!
